Amanjena translates to "peaceful paradise", and architect Ed Tuttle's minimalist interpretation of a Moorish palace, with its large reflective pools, fountains, elegant arches and stone courtyards creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere that embodies the Moorish heritage of the region. Its sun-bleached red walls and shimmering pools pay tribute to the stark beauty and rich history of North Africa. Located within a lush oasis of palm and olive trees, the resort's pisé walls reflect the Moorish influence throughout, including the guest pavilions that surround an ancient basin, reminiscent of a sultan's palace.
